Here is a taste of what her latest book is about:

     After twelve years of being raised in Benighted Bay, a town where books are illegal, book loving Ilona longs to find a place to belong. Arturis, her adopted father who is secretly a dragon, has forbidden her from interacting with Lady Jilaya, the one person who is willing to help her. But Ilona disobeys, sneaking to secret lessons with the duchess where she begins to believe that humans belong with humans and dragons belong with dragons.

    Questioning everything she knows about her father, Ilona braves the wilderness in search of the truth that lies with Arturis’s kin. But her journey for truth will do more than unlock Arturis’s secrets. It will unleash an evil that will jeopardize everything she loves and show her exactly where she belongs.

The Book Dragon is great for 8-12 year olds who love fantasy, mythical creatures and high risk stories. It is a great fit for kids who are fans of the Percy Jackson Series, Dragon Rider Series, Impossible Creatures and Lost Evangeline.

It contains themes of adoption, found family, and the importance of telling the truth. And, of course, DRAGONS!
